Impact of cancers therapies on the loss in cardiac function, myocardial efficiency, and arterial stiffness in women

#Cardiovascular #Oncology

How will the SphygmoCor® technology enable, enhance, or accelerate your research?

The devices are required to directly assess the parameters of interest, including SW/SEVR/aortic stiffness and MyoEff, over at least one year with a pre-treatment assessment and quarterly visits for at least one year. We have already demonstrated that the GLS-pressure relationship and MyoEff can be accurately and easily measured in a pilot study

Executive Summary

Combining metrics of myocardial function, energetics, SEVR and aortic stiffness related metrics is intended to provide a new view of ventricular-vascular coupling. Cardio-toxic therapies impact the myocardium, aorta and peripheral vascular tree in an individual and integrated manner. This study will provide the first evidence of how cancer therapies alter cardiac and arterial health.

Research Setting
