Aortic Hemodynamics in Postmenopausal Women Following Cessation of Hormone Therapy

Roneé Harvey at the University of Wisconsin–Madison investigated aortic hemodynamics in postmenopausal women after stopping hormone therapy. Their study, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, found no lasting effects on central vascular function in these women, as measured by aortic blood pressures and augmentation index, three years after discontinuing hormone therapy.
