Thank you for your interest in our Arterial Research Initiative, a search to identify breakthrough research in arterial stiffness and vascular health, to further our commitment to driving the field of arterial health forward and improving patient outcomes.

What are the next steps?

The Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative will have five phases:

  • Submission Phase – Research submissions were accepted until 11:59pm March 31, 2024.
  • Evaluation Phase - Following an administrative triage, proposals will be reviewed by a panel of Cardiex experts and evaluated against the Evaluation Criteria.
  • Voting Phase – The Cardiex experts will select 10 finalists and present their ideas for peer voting.
  • Selection Phase – The final winners of the Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative Award will be chosen by their peers through voting.

Prizes

The Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative prize, worth a total of USD$100,000.00, will be awarded to three winners and consists of Cardiex devices and data support. The prizes will be distributed as follows:

1 Grand Prize winner will receive (2) SphygmoCor XCEL, (20) CONNEQT Pulse, and $15,000 in Data Services.  

2 Runner-Up winners will each receive (10) CONNEQT Pulse and $8,500 in Data Services. 

Timing

The Submission Phase closed on March 31, 2024. The Evaluation and Voting phases run from April 2024 through June 2024. Winners will be announced in June 2024.

1Why are you launching the Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative?
We are launching the Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative, a search to identify breakthrough research in arterial stiffness and vascular health, to further our vision to the society’s understanding relating to the world’s most common health disorders including hypertension, CVD, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and other major vascular health conditions. By identifying and supporting innovative research, we continue our commitment to driving the field of arterial health forward and improving patient outcomes.
2What if I have questions before I submit my entry?
You can submit questions to arterialresearchinitiative@cardiex.com. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response.
3What prize will the Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative winner receive?
Cardiex will distribute a total of $100k in devices and support services to three winners, as follows: 1 Grand Prize winner will receive (2) SphygmoCor XCEL, (20) CONNEQT Pulse, and $15,000 in Data Services. 2 Runner-Up winners will each receive (10) CONNEQT Pulse and $8,500 in Data Services.  
4How will my entry be judged?
Following the Submission Phase, a panel of CardieX experts will evaluate and select the top ten ideas. In our opinion, the best judges come from a panel of one’s peers, and the finalists will be presented to public for voting.
5Who owns the findings if my research proposal is selected and successfully fielded?
The entrant, team, or entity will retain ownership of the findings, and give their consent for Cardiex to promote the research findings for up to five years following the close of the initiative.
