February 4, 2023High-Intensity Interval Training is Safe, Feasible and Efficacious in Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Shelley Keating and colleagues studied exercise intervention for people with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The team examined the safety, feasibility, and efficacy of 12 weeks of high-Intensity Interval training (HIIT) and found that HIIT is safe, feasible, and efficacious, resulting in meaningful improvements in exercise capacity and improved peripheral insulin resistance, compared with control.
