June 15, 2024Cardiex at ACSM 2024: A Look at the Future of Precision Health
From May 28 to 31, the Cardiex team kicked off a busy trade show season by spending four days at the 2024 American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting at the Boston Hynes Convention Center. Attendance at this year’s event was strong, with an estimated crowd of over 4,000 scientists, researchers, educators, physicians, health professionals, and students.
Cardiex was thrilled to return to this important annual event. Our booth was a hub of activity, where we offered complimentary arterial assessments and showcased our suite of FDA-cleared products powered by SphygmoCor® technology, including the SphygmoCor XCEL, the Oscar 2 Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor, and the soon-to-be-released CONNEQT Pulse digital vascular biomarker monitor. These gold-standard solutions cover the full range of arterial assessment needs, whether in medical settings, research, clinical trials, or on the go.
“This was our twelfth year at the conference, and it never disappoints,” said Ric Ruffhead, Cardiex’s Director of Academic & Clinical Research Partnerships. “It’s wonderful to see professionals from various sports medicine and exercise science disciplines come together to share the latest research. Overall, It was a fantastic opportunity to learn and connect with colleagues.”
While at the show, the Cardiex team also talked up the Voting Phase of the inaugural Cardiex Arterial Research Initiative, a search to identify breakthrough research in arterial stiffness and vascular health. We even had a finalist sighting! Lydia Trainor, one of the 12 finalists in the Research Initiative, stopped by the booth to say hello. Lydia’s impressive research proposal aims to leverage SphygmoCor technology to explore the effects of vaping e-cigarettes on arterial health. Her work and proposals from 11 other finalists are in the running for one of our top prizes. Visit our website to learn more about all the finalists and watch for the announcement of the winners.
